December Recap

December was a great month for me, both bloggingly speaking and personally speaking. Here's what my month looked like!

I finished my third semester of college, which is super exciting. I came out of this semester with a 4.0, which I honestly didn't think was going to happen. I'm actually a semester ahead, so technically I'll be entering the spring semester as a junior, which is actually kind of scary. (How many times can I say semester in one paragraph?)

I got one of my short stories published in a nationally recognized literary journal called NEBO, and it  is run by the creative writing students at my school.

I also made my college's concert chorale, which is basically the advanced choir for non-music majors. I'm really bad at auditioning for things, so I had auditioned for this choir once before but didn't make it. But when I went in there for my second audition, I wasn't nearly as nervous, and I walked away feeling really good. I almost cried when I saw my name on the made-it list.

Christmas was wonderful! My dad and I drove to Florida to be with my brothers and my sister, and we had a fantastic Christmas. My entire family is incredibly close, so it was just amazing, especially considering I didn't get to spend Christmas with them last year. I got lots of cat-related gifts, which could not make me any happier!

This one comes out February 9th! Keep a lookout for my review and the release of this fabulous book!

The Eclectic Corner is a new feature on The Left-Handed Book Lover in which I talk about basically anything I want. A whole variety of topics! This is kinda like my chance to talk about non-bookish things. I came up with this idea because I really wanted to incorporate my love of TV shows and music somehow. This gives me a chance to connect with other readers and bloggers beyond similar taste in books.

FF is a feature here where I talk about books I read a while ago but still want to give major love to. This feature is designed to give some exposure to books that may have been forgotten about or that some people haven't heard of, even though they're really great!

Music:
I've been super obsessed with Twenty One Pilots lately. I wasn't really a big fan of their music when I first heard it, but the more I listened to them, the more they grew on me. It just takes a minute to really understand them and their music, and once you do, it's beautiful.

Here are some of their music videos.

TV Shows:

I have made it no secret that I've been obsessed with the new 90210 this month. I finally finished it a couple weeks ago. I binge watched it non-stop for weeks!

I'm not sure what I want to watch next. Any suggestions?

That's what my month has looked like. What about yours?

Thank you so much for taking the time to read what I have to say and give your opinion on it. It really means a lot to me. And of course, I will do my best to return the favor. However, as easily distracted and scatter-brained as I am, please don't be offended if I forget to comment on your blog.
